About KARNATAKA CHAPTER OF ANATOMISTS
Background
Karnataka Chapter Of Anatomists dates to 1999 as an offshoot of the parental body “Anatomical society of India” by our beloved madam Prof. Dr, S. Kantha. Its prime objective was to strengthen the personal and professional interactions among the anatomists across the state, especially postgraduates, the teaching and the technical faculty, and eminent anatomy faculty not only from the Department of Anatomy but also from the faculty of various other departments like dentistry, pathology, ayurveda, genetics, surgery, radiology, and other clinical specialties.
Objectives:
- Enhancing anatomical education: By organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences, the chapter aims to provide educators with tools and resources to enhance the teaching and learning of anatomy at all levels.
- Promoting research: Facilitating collaboration among anatomists and providing a platform for showcasing research findings, the chapter encourages scientific inquiry and innovation in the anatomical sciences.
- Fostering professional development: Through mentorship programs, continuing education opportunities, and networking events, the chapter supports the professional growth of its members, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers.
Activities:
- Annual conferences: These gatherings bring together anatomists from across the state and beyond to exchange ideas, present research findings, and engage in professional development activities.
- Workshops and seminars: Covering topics ranging from innovative teaching methodologies to cutting-edge research techniques, these events provide members with opportunities to enhance their skills and stay abreast of advancements in the field.
Achievements:
- 23 annual state conferences.
