Theme: Rediscovering Anatomy through Novel surgical approaches
Clinical Service, teaching and research are the key components of Health Care institutions. Acquisition of knowledge and skills is a lifelong process. Anatomy and surgery are linked inseparably. Solid anatomical knowledge is essential for surgical training and practice.
- Anatomists are always curious to understand the techniques of dissection to better reveal the complex white matter organization of brain.
- CBME is an outcome based education suggesting two thirds of small group learning. Effective small group learning is a difficult task than often realised.
- Research in medicine helps to build it’s future. This advances the medical knowledge and patient care.
- Although dissection of cadavers is the gold standard method to teach and learn anatomy, plastination also serves as an additional tool.
Pre-conference workshops are designed to facilitate comprehensive understanding of brain white matter dissection, Clinical embryology, Small group learning in anatomy, Systematic review and meta-analysis, and Silicone Mold plastination and Sheet Plastination.
